Where Mountain Water Meets Cobbled Streets

Fuenteheridos is a small Sierra village shaped by water, stone and chestnut country. Its historic centre rewards a slow wander through narrow cobbled streets to Plaza El Coso, where the twelve-spout fountain remains the defining landmark. The Holy Spirit church and traditional houses add architectural character, while nearby woodland routes connect the village with the wider natural park.

What to See & Do

Plaza El Coso and the twelve-spout fountain : The historic square at the centre of the old town, built around Fuenteheridos's best-known landmark. Iglesia del Espíritu Santo : The Holy Spirit church, a short walk from the fountain. Woodland routes into the natural park : Trails through chestnut forest connecting Fuenteheridos to neighbouring villages.

Chestnut Fair

The chestnut that shapes the town's landscape also gives it its main event, held once the harvest is in. Feria de la Castaña (December 6–9) : Running since the 1980s over the Constitution/Immaculate Conception long weekend, this fair celebrates the chestnut tree that has defined Fuenteheridos for 800 years: an autumn market, roasted chestnuts (tostón), cooking demonstrations, guided hikes, a photography contest, children's workshops, and live music.
